Popular offline dino game gets web version
Dino Game Online is a free web arcade title developed by Google Dino Game. It's a dedicated online version of the popular offline mini-game first introduced on the Google Chrome web browser. In it, players control a dino in an endless runner with various obstacles to overcome.
Similar to Plants vs. Zombie, Dino Game Online can be played from any web browser or device. What makes it such an intriguing title is that it was initially a "no internet game" that helped users pass the time, but has now been transformed into a full-fledged web title.
A dino gets its due
Everyone has been there before. Your internet connection suddenly drops and you're left waiting for it to come back after resetting your router and whatnot. This game is pretty much the same as the original. You still get the cute and charming pixel art graphics, as well as the simple gameplay. It's essentially a side-scrolling endless runner that will have you run as long as you can and get the highest score possible. Along the way, there will be various obstacles that you'll need to overcome like prickly cactus plants and pesky flying crows.
The biggest "upgrade" that it got is that it can now be played virtually anywhere—any web browser or device you want. Improvements have not made their way to the gameplay, though. It's still the same straightforward mechanics that can get repetitive after a while. It could have used some extra features like more characters, levels, or modes to help with its longevity and replayability.
Online or Offline
Whether it's your first or nth time, Dino Game Online now lets you play and enjoy that quirky dino game without having to wait for your internet connection to cut out on you. It's basically a 1:1 replication that is easy to pick up and play. It would have been nice if new things were added, but it doesn't detract from the overall experience you'll have.
